Support Teachers
Ms. DebiDebi Gant has lived in Beaufort since 1985, and has a daughter, Caroline, who is a sophomore at USC-B. Ms. Debi earned a BA in Vocational Home Economics from Marshall University and a Master’s in Religious Education from Southern Baptist Theological Seminary. She trained child care workers in a vocational setting, while running a laboratory pre-school, in Kentucky for four years. Ms. Debi taught Pre-K and Elementary in the Beaufort County School System for 14 years. She is a regular volunteer in the Children’s and Youth Ministries at her church. In her spare time, Ms. Debi likes to read, scrapbook and sing. She loves working with the Primary children in Aftercare at EC Montessori and, alongside Ms. Ronique, had an integral part in planning and executing the 2012 Summer Camp curriculum.

Ms. LeahLeah Way has been on staff at ECM for almost 7 years. She moved from Florida in 1999, and has lived in Beaufort since she was 14. Leah’s daughter, Zoe, age 7, has been attending ECM since she was 20 months old. Zoe is currently a first grader in the Ginkgo Room. Ms. Leah works with the toddlers as an assistant in the Daffodil Room. She also greets our early care children each and every morning during the early care time period. Ms. Leah looks forward to becoming credentialed in infant / toddler in the near future.

Margaret SaltrickMargaret Saltrick is a Georgia native but grew up all over the south and southeast. Most of her life was spent in Charlotte, NC, where she met her husband. Ms. Margaret is mom to Harley (cat), Frosty (dog), and 8 chickens. She earned a BS in Communication from Appalachian State University in Boone, NC. In her spare time, Ms. Margaret enjoys spending time with her family, hunting, reading and boating. Ms. Margaret joined the EC family in December of 2009 as the Office Manager.

Laura HollyIf you have a question about tuition or another financial matter, Laura, our fabulous bookeeper is who you want to meet. Laura was born in Saginaw, MI but raised in Decatur, IL. She has been married to her wonderful husband Roger for three years and that is what brought her to this beautiful city. Laura has two grown sons, one of which lives in Japan and the other in Charleston. She has visited her son in Japan and loves to travel. Laura is the Youth Leader of St. John's Lutheran Church, and has volunteered in many capacities since she was 14 years old. Laura has been doing Bookkeeping/Accounting for over 20 years and loves crunching numbers!
